Any .NET support on the horizon?
Published on May 24, 2007 By laplace In DesktopX Development
I understand DesktopX gadgets/widgets can be extended with your plugin API and COM.

However considering .NET, are there any plans for a future DX to host managed code directly? For example have DX publish a managed interface to your plugin API and be a host for .NET assemblies.

Hey Jeff,

I am not aware of this being in the current set of plans for DesktopX's future. But I'd be happy to submit your feature request to the lead developer of DesktopX.

Thanks!

Where are API & COM plugins and how to use it?

I would suggest checking out the documentation here:

https://www.stardock.com/products/desktopx/documentation/SDPLugin/SDPlugin.asp

There are also two examples (source code included); a standard mail plugin and a scriptable version of the mail plugin.
